Billaudot
Gérard Billaudot, Éditeur was founded more a century ago in 1896 by Louis Billaudot (1871-1936) and has remained a family business. Louis Billaudot was succeeded by his two sons Robert (1910-1981) and Gérard (1911-1986), the latter managing the company single-handed from 1957. Gérard Billaudot's son-in-law François Derveaux took over in 1979 as part of a new structure called Gérard Billaudot Editeur S.A. They are now one of France's most important publishers in the fields of music teaching as concerns both works on music theory and instrumental methods and studies. In 1988 they added works published by Editions Française de Musique (formerly French Radio & Television),including a large number of pieces premiered between 1947 and 1975. They also publish a large number of contemporary composers such as Patrick Burgan, Jacques Castérède, Qigang Chen, Marc-André Dalbavie, Edison Denisov, Bertrand Dubedout, Thierry Escaich, Philippe Hurel, Betsy Jolas, Philippe Leroux, Fabien Levy, Serge Nigg, Germaine Tailleferre and Alexandre Tansman without favouring any particular style or school.

Durand Salabert Eshig
Now just one company, the venerable houses of Durand & Cie, Éditions Salabert, and Éditions Eschig have merged to form Durand-Salabert-Eschig Éditions Musicales. With a combined library of more than 30,000 works from composers as diverse as Albéniz to Boulez and Debussy to Villa-Lobos - not to mention many fine works by Jean-Michel Damase - they are an important punblisher indeed.


Alphonse Leduc et Cie
Alphonse Leduc et Cie has been one of the premier French musical publishing houses since its inception in 1841. Still a family-run business, the fifth generation of Leducs have continued to expand, having acquired Bornemann, Gras, Hamelle, Heugel and Éditions Ouvrières. Various European and/or French sales and/or hire contracts with Boosey & Hawkes, Bote & Bock, Editio Musica Budapest, Faber Music, Hug, Foetisch, Lido Mélodies, Mercury, Moeck, Sikorski, Supraphon, Suvini-Zerboni, and Theodore Presser have also turned Leduc into one of the most important musical publishers not only in France, but in Europe and elsewhere..

Theodore Presser
The Theodore Presser Company is the oldest continuing music publisher in the United States. founded by Theodore Presser (1848-1925) in 1883. In 1972, the Theodore Presser Company acquired Elkan-Vogel and its agencies making Theodore Presser Company the most important distributor of French music in the United States. Most of Damase's publishers are represented in the US by this company.

United Music Publishers Ltd

United Music Publishers Ltd are publishers and distributors of classical sheet music. Well known as the representative in the UK and Ireland for all the major French music publishers (including those representing Damase), they also publish their own British-based catalogue of works by innovative contemporary composers.
